Introduction to "Aldiko-eBook reader"

Aldiko offers you a very good experience in reading eBooks on the go.
It is very powerful yet efficient and user friendly app for reading eBooks on android smartphones.
Here is a brief introduction and some basic 'how to?'s  of "Aldiko-eBook reader".

• When you open Aldiko you will come at home interface.

Now you can click on
Shelf view to view books added to library as they are placed on shelf. or
List View to view them as a list.
Store will b used to purchase eBooks directly from aldiko store.
* "Files" button to add books from native storage (stored on sd card).

once you clicked the files button you will arrive at a file system or file browser (explorer) of your android smartphone. Browse through the file manager to reach the location where desired file is placed.

For me the file is placed in downloads folder. Named as "Little_women.epub"

 Select the desired file with clicking on the tick ✔ opposite to it.(you can also select multiple files to import) Once it will turn to green the file is selected and ready to import in the Aldiko library.
After succesful selection click on import button and files will b imported to the Library.

On clicking it will show a import process. The import time may vary with no. of books selected and size of book.

Once you are done with the import you are now ready to read your favorite book or novel on your beloved smartphone.

select a book on shelf you want to read. And the book will open for reading. You can swipe on screen to turn pages. and continue your journey throughout the book to end. Happy reading.

Aldiko offers you basic customizations for your reading needs. Now I'll tell you how to access these helpful features to make your reading experience joyful.

 Now when you tap on reading screen you will see the features and menus as below.

  Here in these menus you can increase/decrease the font size and margin, can also change the reading mode from Day to night as per your need and ease.

The reading mode is set to "day" by default. But it is quite difficult to read on a white background in night. so  When you click on Day/Night button, the reading mode will change to Night making you comfortable to read the text on black background.

Now when you click on settings button in the menu screen. It will open further settings for you as Text size, Margins, Brightness, Screen orientations.

Clicking on "Text" allow you to change the font size and margin size of the book contents. You can easily adjust the size with + and - buttons provided above and below respectively.

Similarly you can use brightness and orientation buttons to adjust respective settings as per your needs.

Aldiko also offers you to add bookmarks for resuming your reading whenever and wherever you like. Click on bookmark button on the top right side of the screen to add the bookmark where you wish to. The bookmark will turn red on successful assigning.

You can browse through the added bookmarks by clicking on "Go to" button located bottom-left corner of screen. And then clicking on "bookmarks" in rise-up menu.
